We Finally Got a Reply

My husband and I have had several things listed for sale on Craigslist—some old china, a few antiques, and other things we no longer need.

Many of the items sold.

A small group did not.

Almost every day, my husband asks me, “Have you gotten any replies?”

I tell him no, and we laugh about the fact that no one seems to want them.

We keep threatening to advertise them somewhere else, but I haven’t had time.

Today, I finally called my husband at work with exciting news.

“We got a reply!”

Someone had seen our listing.

She wanted to know if we would like to buy a saucer from her to replace the broken one in our set.

After all this time trying to sell our china, our first response came from someone trying to sell us more.

Apparently, our problem wasn’t that we had too much china.

It was that our set was incomplete.
